Baby One More Time

Friday, April 29, 2016

A Britney lyric for a 90s outfit? Duh. I'm just sharing a fun shoot with you guys!

Here you go & you're quite welcome. ;) I sort of recommend listening to Doo Wop, but Britney's just as well. Cause -- you know -- "You infatuated with him, he got nice jeans, he wear fancy Adidas."

So I'm wearing an Urban top, Urban sunglasses (my sister's ha), Topman jeans and Adidas from Urban! Plus my Daniel Wellington. As usual. Check below to shop the pieces if you'd like!

Shop this look:

How do you feel about the retro feel? Idk, I just feel like I Want It That Way?

As always, thanks for reading!

Summer in the City

Wednesday, March 30, 2016

Back in February of 2014 I wrote a post about how much I loved the city and wanted to live there. Well, dreams are coming true, people!

This summer I will be living in NYC! I'm so, so excited to be a fashion intern at Marie Claire magazine! I can't wait to see what is to come.

There will be a lot of blogging (I hope) and definitely a lot of Instagramming. Follow me to see my summer in the city!

So for now, I'll share with you all the shoes I've got my eye on. Anybody who's been to NYC knows tennis shoes are not optional.

What tennis shoes/sneakers are you in love with right now?

Suggestions welcome!

As always, thanks for reading!

Here is the latest fashion dump! I covered the other shows of NYFW that I missed during Part I! It took a while to post because there were just a lot of things going on and all that. Sadly, I lost a friend last week and I wasn't in the mindset to post this for a while, but I know she would have wanted me to continue to post on G+G since she thought it was fabulous (ily, Laura) so that's what I am doing!

I hope to post more substantial blog posts soon -- featuring more actual writing but for now just look at pretty fashion and try not to drool!

So after the jump, enjoy a bunch of my favorite looks from NYFW!

NYFW, Feb 2016

Sunday, February 14, 2016

I'm not one to lose my cool over a Super Bowl. I kinda get excited about Florida Georgia (if the Gators win...) and I maybe like watching some Tennis here and there (especially at Lizzy's with her and her mom and a glass of wine!). The best times for me? NYFW, LFW, PFW and the World Cup (both genders, of course).

So I've been stalking tons of designers, bloggers, models and PR aficionados on every social media platform ever. Loving the Tory Burch snapchat, dying over the NYFW Insta, and living for the WWD Tweets.

Here are some of my favorite looks from what has been presented so far! Keep in mind, this doesn't include DVF, Tory Burch, Badgley Mischka, Ralph Lauren, Alice + Olivia, Oscar de la Renta or Rachel Zoe! Those have yet to come! God, I would love to be at NYFW, even as stressful as it seems, I can't imagine anything better.

Without further ado, my favorite looks, by designer. And these were not easy to narrow down! (All photos taken from NY MAG, I don't own them!)

I have to make this a read-more post because it quickly got entirely too long!

Oh! Hi 2016?!

Thursday, February 4, 2016

So... It's February 4th and I'm still kind of in awe. I can't believe it's already the second month of 2016!

On that note, I am beyond pissed at myself for not posting at all in January! I have a reasonable explanation, I think. Maybe. I was definitely sad to see the analytics for the blog drop so much during January as I wasn't posting, but I was so busy. I am so busy. That I AM VERY BUSY ban.do pencil pouch I bought is suddenly more relevant than ever. And I know people always say "I'm soooo busy," and you're wondering how anyone could be so busy they can't take a phone call or compose an email but trust me, if you want to be, you can be that busy.

So basically I am taking five classes again, because apparently I'm a masochist. One of those classes involves me being one of two campaign directors. Insanity. I'm excited for it, though, because I'm doing it with my favorite, Erin, who is joining me for my New York trip in March to intern at the Auto Show! Ahh, I miss New York. Anyway!

On top of five classes, I'm doing some social media for Sweet Pete's, which is really fun. They are our very close family friends and I feel so lucky and enthusiastic to be part of their team and to take some great photos and write some fun blog posts and such! So that's fun but also definitely keeps me busy, too!

With that being said, I'm still working at Anthropologie when I can, because I love it. Not as often as I'd like, but my schedule is what it is. Thankfully my managers are wonderful and allow me to work around my schedule, even if it is very limited.

Also, drumroll... I am interning at The Dalton Agency! So much fun! I'm working in social media and learning a ton. I absolutely love everyone in the department and really just am enjoying this internship and trying to soak it all up!

As if that weren't enough, I am president of PRSSA this semester! Ah!! SO exciting! I LOVE our chapter of PRSSA and LOVE my fellow officers. I thank my lucky stars I have them and that they care and are so dedicated, they help me more than I could even imagine. It's going to be a great semester for PRSSA, I can feel it.

So yeah. I'm also trying to write creatively some, read some books, create some art, do some fun photography, style some looks... It's safe to say I'm a little busy bee this semester, but alas, as much as I may complain that I'm tired or that I need caffeine, I love it. After all --

So that's a little update! I really do hope I can at least get a NYFW post in or something, because I'm dying to see all the snaps and grams. I barely have time to flip through W or Vogue these days, so if you know any accounts that will be Snapchatting NYFW, let me know (tweet me, perhaps?)!

For good measure, I'll leave you with some of my favorite pins that are giving me some serious February Pinspiration... Did I seriously just?

Guess I'm really feeling spring? Sorry not sorry. ;)

As always, thanks for reading!

12 Days of Gift Giving: Candles

Saturday, December 19, 2015

I'm finishing off the 12 Days of Gift Giving in a simple way, focusing on items that everyone loves and making sure they're items you can get in stores so you won't be pressed to order and pay for express shipping or anything crazy like that!

So to end the 12 Days of Gift Giving, here are my favorite candles:

I hope you love some of these!! They're all great for holiday gifts. Thanks so much for sticking with me through the 12 Days of Gift Giving and I hope you have a merry Christmas!

As always, thanks for reading!

12 Days of Gift Giving: Books

Friday, December 18, 2015

I am a huge nerd and a huge reader and so naturally I am sharing my top books from 2015/top books to gift in general!

So here's the overview. Let's go ahead and get into these books!

Luckiest Girl Alive tops the list as my favorite book of 2015. For the lover of Gone Girl, this book is dark and twisted and you won't put it down.

Diane Von Furstenberg is truly inspirational and this book can be gifted to anyone who appreciates fashion or just a tale of a girl with dreams and ambition.

I actually got this book after I had already seen the film but it was still somehow just as incredible and so I certainly recommend it. The story is one about family and love, my favorite things, but it's meant for adults so keep that in mind before giving it to a teen.

For the teen on your list, you have to gift them The Improbable Theory of Ana & Zak. This book made me feel like I was in high school all over again, in the best way possible. It's so filled with adventure, action and fandom. The characterization is brilliant, as well. Amazing!

Matilda is a classic. Changed my life forever, obvi. The original Hermione Granger. If you know a child who hasn't read Matilda, do them a favor! (And speaking of Hermione Granger, I don't have to tell you to get any child old enough to read all seven Harry Potter books, right? Or the illustrated Sorcerer's Stone? I asked for that one!)

This book is great for the teen on your list, as well. Robyn Schneider has such a way with words and storytelling, it's incredible.

My favorite book had to make the list, of course. This was actually my first purchase as an employee of Anthropologie. Get one of these darling copies for the Austen lover in your life!

I somehow didn't include any John Green books, but I 1000000% recommend An Abundance of Katherines and Paper Towns, as well for any teen or young adult or even adult! They're absolutely fantastic books. Grade-A.

(Also, I'll have you know, anyone who hasn't read Tolkein is missing out on an incredible experience.)

As always, thanks for reading!
